What conditional logic does<\/h2>\n

Conditional logic shows or hides a field, section or page based on an answer. For example, choosing \u201cNo \u2013 fault found\u201d can reveal a fault description and evidence upload.<\/p>\n

Configure a field rule<\/h2>\n

  1. Open Forms<\/strong> and edit the form.<\/li>\n
  2. Add the field that should appear conditionally, or select the existing field.<\/li>\n
  3. In its settings, find Conditional Logic<\/strong> and enable it.<\/li>\n
  4. Choose whether to show or hide the field when the rules match.<\/li>\n
  5. Select the controlling field, comparison operator and answer\/value.<\/li>\n
  6. Use + Add<\/strong> to add another rule. Choose All<\/strong> if every rule must match, or Any<\/strong> if at least one rule may match.<\/li>\n
  7. Save the form.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Example: fault reporting<\/h2>\n

    Controller field: \u201cIs the equipment safe to use?\u201d with choices \u201cYes \u2013 serviceable\u201d and \u201cNo \u2013 fault found\u201d. Target fields: \u201cDescribe the fault\u201d and \u201cUpload photograph\u201d. Set both target fields to show when the controller field is \u201cNo \u2013 fault found\u201d. If there are separate checks that can independently trigger a fault, use a separate rule structure that matches the intended workflow and test each route.<\/p>\n
