Configure Confirmations After Submission

What a confirmation does

A confirmation is the response shown after a successful submission. It can show a message, send the user to a WordPress page, or redirect to a URL.

Edit the default confirmation

  1. Open the form and go to Settings → Confirmations.
  2. Select the default confirmation.
  3. Choose a short message that tells the user the submission was received and what happens next.
  4. Save the confirmation and form.

Create a conditional confirmation

  1. On the Confirmations page, add a new confirmation.
  2. Choose the type: message, page or redirect.
  3. Configure the message or destination.
  4. Enable conditional logic and set the field/value that should trigger this confirmation.
  5. Save the confirmation and form.

Example

A routine inspection can show “Inspection submitted”. A fault report can show “Fault report submitted. Follow your site procedure and notify the responsible supervisor.” The wording should not imply that the equipment has been repaired or that the report has been reviewed unless that has actually happened.

Testing and troubleshooting

Submit an entry that should match each confirmation. If a custom confirmation does not run, check its conditions and ordering; the default confirmation remains the fallback. If redirecting, confirm that the destination is accessible to the intended user and does not expose private data in the URL.
