- Download the generated JSON file and label it with the form name, date and version.
Import a form
- Go to Forms → Import/Export → Import Forms.
- Choose the JSON file exported from Gravity Forms.
- Run the import and read any warnings.
- Open the imported form and check field types, conditional logic, notifications, confirmations and add-on settings.
- Save and submit test entries before using it operationally.
Important compatibility note
Gravity Forms form imports use the JSON format generated by Gravity Forms. A WordPress page export (WXR/XML) is a different format and cannot be imported as a Gravity Forms form. Signature fields and add-on features may require the same add-on to be installed and active on the destination site.
Safe deployment
Do not import over a live operational form without reviewing the result. Keep a copy of the existing form export, and avoid changing field IDs or notification recipients without testing dependent workflows.
