Configure Dynamic QR Codes

Component

chkm8-dynamic-qr-codes-large-wordmark is the known CHKM8 component name for dynamic QR code functionality with a large wordmark. Its exact controls must be checked in the installed version.

Preparation

  1. Decide what the QR code should open: an asset record, inspection form, equipment page or another approved destination.
  2. Confirm the destination page is published and its access rules are correct.
  3. Open the component’s available settings or management screen.
  4. Create or select the QR code using the visible workflow; do not invent URL parameters not documented by the component.
  5. Use a clear label that links the QR code to the asset or workflow.
  6. Print a test code and scan it with at least one iOS and one Android device if both are used on site.
  7. Confirm the destination loads over HTTPS and that an unauthorised user cannot bypass required access controls.

Deployment checklist

  • QR code scans from the actual printed size and surface.
  • Destination URL is correct and stable.
  • Code label/wordmark remains legible.
  • Code is associated with the correct asset ID.
  • Changing the destination follows the documented component workflow.
