Manage Dashboard Widgets and Visibility

Diagnose a missing widget systematically

  1. Open the dashboard using an administrator account and check whether the widget appears.
  2. Confirm the plugin or code component that registers the widget is active.
  3. Check the current dashboard/widget visibility settings for the affected role.
  4. Review any white-label or admin-customisation plugin that may hide or remove widgets.
  5. Change one setting at a time and reload the dashboard.
  6. Test with the affected user role, not only as administrator.
  7. Review PHP/plugin logs if the widget still fails.

Avoid broad resets

Do not disable every plugin or reset all permissions as the first step. Identify whether the widget is missing because it is not registered, hidden by a visibility rule, or failing during rendering. If a widget restriction tool and a white-label tool both manage visibility, document which one is authoritative.
