When to split a form
Use multiple pages when a form is long enough that sections make it easier to complete on a mobile device. Do not split a short inspection into unnecessary screens.
Build the pages
- Edit the form.
- Add a Page field where the next page should begin.
- Arrange fields into logical steps, such as “Job details”, “Inspection”, and “Fault evidence”.
- Configure page labels or progress indicators if supported.
- Save the form and preview it on mobile.
- Test required-field validation and conditional logic across page boundaries.
Test carefully
Move forward and backward through the form, trigger conditional fields, and submit the final page. Verify that values are retained and that users can understand how much remains.
